Mechanism of reverse creasing by G-Tape

Normally, G-Tape transferred to a cutting plate is like a female mold, while a creasing rule of dieboard is like a male mold.
“By using G-Tape (as shown in the picture), you can making a clear line before folding.
Then the paper can be folded accurately without cracking.”
Paper sheet is constructed in may layers.
G-Tape causes delamination inside the sheet along a creasing line so that you can get precise folding line without cracking.

The packages with reverse creasings

・Automatic lock bottom
This box can be assenbled by hand easily .

・Auto bottom barn style with locking handle
This is an indispensable package for a cake shop.
It can be easily assembled just like an Automatic lock bottom.

The common point is that it can be easily assembled when opened.
Unlike usual folding method, you can fold in and make it compact.
When you stock it, you don’t need big space and you can assemble it easily and quickly.
No need to tape at the bottom, which also saves your time.

Reverse creasing: How does it work?!

“G type” of G-Tape to make reverse creasing.
In normal use, G-Tape works as a female mold, while creasing rule in the dieboard works as a male mold.
In reverse creasing, use 2 creasing rules in the dieboard, so that the creasing rules work as a female mold, and G-Tape works as a male mold.
In this case use R-head creasing rule. If customer require clear and stronger line, try Square-head rule and then patching on it for adjustment.

How about Combination rule ?
Actually some packages apply Combination rule.

Some packages must use only Combination rule (cut-crease rule) due to its paper thickness, styles, its positions and so forth.
Please consult your die-maker for details.
If you use comibination rule, It might cause crack or paper dust as shown in the picture, especially in winter time or when the sheet is dry.
Also, if comibination rule is short, the sheet may be pulled and torn when folded.
When the cracks on folding line become bigger, the important products or contents may come out or fall. Also the paper dust may cause complaints.
Many packaging supplier want to avoid this problem if possible.

Product finish

Without cutting the sheet, it looks good. Even if the number of shots is large, there are few troubles and the labor of inspection is as small as possible.
Some packages must use only Combination rule (cut-crease rule) due to its paper thickness, styles, its positions and so forth.
