Daiso Through the Years
Founded in 1971, Daiso has grown over more than 50 years from a single workshop in Higashi-Osaka to a group of companies with facilities across Japan and partnerships around the world.
| 1971 | Joji Otsuka founded Otsuka Mold Manufacturing as a sole proprietorship in Morikawauchi, Higashi-Osaka City. |

| 1979 | Founder Joji Otsuka established Otsuka Mold Industries Co., Ltd. with capital of JPY 4.8 million; appointed President and Representative Director. |
| 1982 | Established a separate sales arm, Soei, and began manufacturing and selling G-Tape. |
| 1985 | Relocated the factory to Morofuku, Daito City for business expansion. |
| 1986 | Increased capital to JPY 15 million. |
| 1988 | Continued expanding facilities and operations. |
| 2013 | Received the Kansai IT 100 Selection Excellence Award. |
| 2014 | Introduced corporate identity (CI) and updated the corporate logo design. |
| 2015 | Relocated the Chubu Sales Office to 3-327 Oki, Komaki City to expand operations. |
| 2017 | Received the “Osaka Manufacturing Excellence Award 2017.” |
| 2022 | Established capital and business partnership with TDS Corporation. |
| 2022 | Established capital and business partnership with Daiso Takara Corporation (formerly Takara Die-Cutting Industries). |
| 2025 | Completed the contract with Arrow Trading Co., Ltd. (former Kanto general agent) and opened the Tokyo Sales Office. |
